Hand made pickups UK - Mojo Pickups Ltd Barkisland, YorkshireWritten by Krach Werke
"Hand crafted pickups and electronics for guitars, made one at a time and tailored to your specification. All pickups are hand / scatterwound like those from a bygone era and are crafted from the finest parts available." - Mojo Pickups
"Mojo Pickups isn't a faceless corporation, a factory churning out containers full of clones at a hard negotiated unit price, it isn't even the plight of a once expert-turned-box-shifter and talking head, that you are more likely to see as the resident expert in a Guitar magazine than winding a pickup by hand. So if you want a pickup or some advice, you can talk to the person who will be winding the pickup that will make a real difference to your sound. You can have something special made specifically for you, to your requirements and all for a price that compares well against the mass-produced box shifters." - Please read more HERE
Handmade pickups, advice, guitar electronics, pre-wired harnasses and parts, all by Mojo Pickups.

Company Name: Mojo Pickups Ltd
A quick introduction please, name, company, location:
Mojo Pickups Ltd, based in Barkisland in Yorkshire, England (halfway between Leeds and Manchester.
What got you started making gear?
I first started making pickups just for my own guitars, I have a large collection vintage guitars, so often had to do rewinds and repairs. That lead to friends asking me to make pickups for them and I also start selling a few pickups on eBay. In 2010 I decided to start making pickups full time.
What gear do you make?
Guitar pickups -I specialise in vintage guitar pickups along with slightly rarer pickups such as Gold Foil, Lipstick pickups etc.
Where do you operate from?: I operate from a small workshop at home.
What about making gear do you like the most?
I like pretty much all of it, it's always a great feeling when you develop a product that customers love as much as you.
Is this a hobby or full time operation?
Who inspires you/who do you look up to musically, IE what gear do you admire?
Anybody who is trying to do anything a little different, too many to mention.
What pisses you off/what do you like; about the boutique audio gear building industry?
Most guys in this industry are pretty cool, I like that. I can't think of anything that pisses me off, most of my experiences have been positive.
Are you still in a band or play music and do you use your own gear?
Not as much as I used to. A lot of my guitars are old so I try to keep them with their stock pickups, all the newer guitars I own have my pickups fitted.
