On Sunday, March 22, Crosby hit and injured a jogger while driving in Santa Ynez, California. Crosby was behind the wheel of a 2015 black Tesla when he struck Jose Jimenez.

Jimenez suffered multiple fractures, abrasions and lacerations, but his injuries are not considered life threatening.

Crosby was driving at the posted limit, 55 mph, and stopped immediately to offer assistance. Police say he was not impaired by drugs or alcohol and may have been temporarily blinded by the sun.

"The sun was in his eyes at that particular part of the roadway and he did not see a pedestrian that was in the roadway,” Sgt. Don Clotworthy of the California Highway Patrol told KEYT.

Crosby was in the press last October after his sometime musical partner Neil Young told an audience he would “never tour again, ever” with Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. At the time, Crosby revealed on Twitter that Young “is very angry with me,” presumably because Crosby referred to Young’s girlfriend, actress Daryl Hannah, as a “purely poisonous predator.”

After another of his followers said Young was irreplaceable, Crosby tweeted, “I know at least 20 better guitar players than Neil.”
