Shure SM57 and Pyle PDMIC78 comparison

The famous Shure SM57, famous for its decades of reliability in the studio for recording loud things like electric guitar, snare drums etc is being A/B compared to the obviously wanna be Pyle Audio PDMIC78.

The Behringer Ultragain MIC200 vacuum tube preamp is a great value standalone mic preamp that can also be used for line in and guitar or instruments. In this demo we use the Behringer c2 small diaphragm mics as mics. These are just awesome.

A quick demo and review of the PylePro PDMIC78 dynamic cardoid pattern instrument microphone. This is a great microphone and at very low price. 'Kinda' marketed as a shure sm57 alternative it looks the same and is great for instruments such as electric guitars, trumpets, snares, toms or other loud instruments...

A quick show and tell on Microphone placement on guitar amplifier cab and the effects on the frequency response. How the sound changes depending on where the microphone is placed in front of the guitar amp speaker and a quick look at the different microphones usually used like a condenser and a dynamic microphone and how these are typically blended to get the desired tone.
