A quick introduction please, name, company, location:
Brady Cases is based out of Abilene, Texas.
What got you started making gear?
I started the company back in 2006.
What gear do you make?
Custom ATA cases, pedal boards, displays and transport equipment
Where do you operate from?
Abilene, Texas USA
What about making gear do you like the most?
I love who all we get to work with. We've built for hundreds of top ten iTunes artists, tech companies like Microsoft and IBM, the government and NASA, large production companies and everyone in between. There's never a dull moment.
Is this a hobby or full time operation?
A little too much full time at the moment
Who inspires you/who do you look up to musically, IE what gear do you admire?
There are a lot of inspiring artists out there that we've gotten to work with. The ones that inspire me the most are those who have stuck together as a band for a long time, still are passionate about what they do and are humble and the real deal. They are few and far between.
What pisses you off/what do you like; about the boutique audio gear building industry?
I think the word "boutique" means something different now than it did 5-10 years ago. What I do love about the current gear building industry is that there are a lot of new faces that are offering some pretty cool products but also work together instead of against each other. I think the next few decade or so will be more diverse but offer more than what has been put out the last 10-20 years. Either way, we're happy to build cases for whatever is made!
Are you still in a band or play music and do you use your own gear?
I play guitar and keys, though not as often as I would like. Some studio stuff, some side projects, etc.
